Synopsis

It's difficult to encapsulate the life and career of the legendary Kirk Douglas. As one of the last surviving stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, the story of his career is also the story of America in the 20th century. From his humble, impoverished beginnings to his crusade against McCarthy's blacklist to intimate footage of his nearest and dearest celebrating Kirk's 100th birthday, this film pays loving and touching tribute to the life and career of a Jewish-American icon.
