Synopsis
Yiddish singer and actress Daniella Rabbani explores why Jewish people have always been storytellers and how stories, songs, and traditions carry us across generations. When her sister dies suddenly, the journey becomes deeply personal, as Daniella turns to Yiddish music, memory, and art to navigate grief and honor the sister who first believed in her voice. Klezmerette is a moving reflection on loss, legacy, and the power of art to keep the people we love with us.
Directors
Brianne Berkson (NYC) and Miguel Gluckstern (born in Germany, raised in Spain) is an Emmy-nominated, multiple-award-winning duo using film and music to bridge cultures and amplify human stories. Descendants of Holocaust survivors, Brianne and Miguel met in 2016 while producing the Cannes-screened short film Fly Away and have since written, directed, produced, edited, and composed narrative and documentary projects worldwide. They operate BriGuel, a full-service production company delivering projects from concept to completion. They are currently in post-production on several projects, including the documentary feature Hate: Becoming Ap(parent). Aside from creating, they enjoy raising their two daughters in New York.
